Barry Bannan has expressed his delight at signing a new contract at Sheffield Wednesday on Twitter.
Bannan has penned a deal which will keep him at Hillsborough until 2019.
And the Scotland international midfielder was pleased to have secured his future, at a club where he feels so comfortable.
Finally signed for another 3 and half years at Sheffield Wednesday. So happy to stay here loved it since day one now let's get promoted— barry bannan (@bazzabannan25) January 14, 2016
Bannan signed a short term contract at Wednesday, after signing from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
His form has been so impressive that the Owls wasted no time in offering him new terms, but the new deal took a while to be announced.
Rumours had begun to circulate about Bannan’s future, but any doubts over whether he would stay at Hillsborough have now been put to bed.
Bannan has scored two goals in his first 22 appearances for Wednesday, helping Carlos Carvalhal’s side climb up to seventh place in the Championship table.
The news of Bannan's contract extension, follows Jack Hunt signing a permanent transfer yesterday.
