The Villa faithful have taken to social media after the businessman was hired onto the board.

Aston Villa fans weren't allowed to celebrate their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace for long before another interesting development was announced by the Midlands outfit.
And fan reaction to the news has been understandably mixed. It's more to the negative side, with many fearing Lerner has simply employed another layer of defence i.e someone else to take the blame instead of him.
Others have questioned exactly what pedigree Hollis has as a chairman of a football club - whatever his background in business, he has none in football itself, much like plenty of Villa's current directors.
Some are prepared to give Hollis a chance and others are hopeful he has been brought in to facilitate a sale of Aston Villa Football Club away from Lerner.
It's been an interesting few days at Villa - finally winning a football match and now appointing a new chairman - but will any of it result in avoiding relegation for the struggling Midlands outfit?
Well, another nothing statement from #avfc - glad to get a chairman & all, but when will they stop with all the business-speak rubbish?— Alex Berwick (@Alex_Berwick) January 14, 2016
Its going to be financial armageddon when we go down. Hollis will be seen as the bad guy when major cuts are made in all areas #avfc— keith armstrong (@keitharmstrong_) January 14, 2016
Go on Steve Hollis spend £50 million and keep us up! #avfc— Jamie Barfoot (@jbarfoot23) January 14, 2016
Lerner has finally been replaced as Head of the Board at Villa, so welcome Steve Hollis. Oh no wait you're also not a footballing man #avfc— Jack Darby (@JMDarby1) January 14, 2016
As much as I think Hollis is just another layer to get to Lerner I will give him a chance to see what he can/if he can bring to #AVFC— Brian Meer (@DangeAVFC) January 14, 2016
