Trevor Sinclair is a big fan of West Ham’s Dimitri Payet.
Dimitri Payet has once again showed his excellence for West Ham, and BBC pundit Trevor Sinclair has said on his personal Twitter account that the Frenchman is up there with Hammers’ cult hero Paolo Di Canio.
Payet has been one of the signings of the season, and he showed off his talents for the Hammers again yesterday evening. In the 3-1 victory over Bournemouth, he scored one free-kick and assisted Enner Valencia for West Ham’s second goal.
Now that he is back from injury, the Hammers are once again flying high, and they play some of the best attacking football in the Premier League when the Frenchman is at top form.
Payet has not taken long to establish himself as one of the best players in the division, and he has quickly grown into a cult hero at the Boleyn Ground.
West Ham fans have taken to his exceptionally technical football, and there has probably not been a player of his excellence contracted to the East London club since Paolo Di Canio.
It is Di Canio who Payet has been drawing comparisons to, and Sinclair believes the Frenchman is already close to being up there with the Italian hero as a West Ham legend.
If Payet continues to produce his excellence on a consistent basis, he could even overtake Di Canio in the annals of West Ham’s history.
