Steven Caulker is in line for an instant debut for Liverpool, 24 hours after clinching a surprise loan move.
The Reds have a defensive crisis due to injuries, which has prompted their decision to bring Caulker in from QPR until the end of the season.
Speaking on the club's website, Klopp described Caulker's arrival on loan as 'important' for the club, who have shown mixed form ever since his arrival as manager.
Caulker was once thought of as one of Tottenham's future stars, a potential replacement for Ledley King at the back. After impressing on loan at Swansea, he performed well enough for Spurs to earn an England call-up.
Then manager Andre Villas-Boas sanctioned his sale to Cardiff City, and the defender has struggled since, suffering consecutive relegations with the Bluebirds and later QPR.
Caulker hopes to make his debut against Arsenal on Wednesday evening, the option preferable than starting Jose Enrique at centre-back as they did against Exeter City in the FA Cup.
As a Tottenham old boy, Caulker would dearly love to get one over on Arsenal in the process of establishing himself as a Liverpool player.
Here is a look at what Spurs fans had to say about the 24-year-old clinching a move to Anfield...
Seeing Caulker join Liverpool on loan today, shouldn't have left Spurs potential to have been part of something special under Poch #COYS— Triggerfish (@Triggyid) January 12, 2016
Would love Steven Caulker to score the winner against Arsenal tomorrow, ex-Spurs and all #COYS— Harry Charalambous (@PrimeSpur1992) January 12, 2016
Can anyone remember how much we sold Caulker for? was it £6-8m? Still think he was better than Vlad Chiriches! #coys— Popeye (@popeyethfc) January 12, 2016
