Sheffield Wednesday - The Owls

Jack Hunt has completed a permanent move from Crystal Palace to Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been left delighted after they completed a deal to sign Jack Hunt from Crystal Palace earlier today.

Hunt has been on loan at Wednesday since the start of the season, and he has impressed so much that the Championship side have now made his move a permanent one.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Wednesday until at least 2019.

It brings to an end a series of loan moves for Hunt, where he has struggled to find a permanent home.

Since moving to Crystal Palace back in 2013 the right-back has spent time with Barnsley, Nottingham Forest and Rotherham United, but he now has an opportunity to settle at Hillsborough for the long term.

So far this season Hunt has made 22 appearances for the Owls, and he is a playing a key role in Carlos Carvalhal’s line up.

Wednesday fans have been impressed by the defensive solidarity and his attacking quality, and they expressed their delight on social media site Twitter when the transfer was wrapped up earlier this afternoon.
