HITC Sport understands the Crystal Palace defender has signed a permanent deal at Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday have completed the permanent signing of on-loan defender Jack Hunt, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Palace have reluctantly agreed to sell Hunt after he found himself well down the pecking order at Selhurst Park with the defender not making a single appearance for the club following his arrival from Huddersfield because of a serious ankle injury he picked up just days after moving to Selhurst Park.
Right-back Hunt joined Wednesday on season-long loan from Crystal Palace in the summer and the right-back has impressed at Hillsborough.
Hunt has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Wednesday and the Owls have previously indicated they would be keen on making his move permanent during this month’s transfer window.
A number of clubs were monitoring Hunt's situation, but Wednesday have moved quickly to secure the former Huddersfield man on a permanent basis.
Hunt has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at Hillsborough and his arrival is a major boost for Carlos Carvalhal's side as they look to maintain their push for promotion to the Premier League.
