Pudil, Bannan and Hunt react on Twitter to Sheffield Wednesday’s victory over Bolton

Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday defeated Bolton 3-2 on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Fernando Forestieri and Gary Hooper were enough to clinch victory for Sheffield Wednesday, defeating Championship struggles Bolton Wanderers by a 3-2 scoreline.

Forestieri opened the scoring, and Hooper restored the lead in the second half after Gary Madine had brought the two sides level. David Wheater once again tied the game at 2-2, but Hooper’s 77th minute strike earned Carlos Carvalhal’s men the three points needed to stay in the play-off mix.

The Owls now sit in seventh place, two points behind Brighton in sixth, but are currently in much better form than Brighton and will be looking to establish themselves in the play-offs over the coming weeks.

They dominated the game from a possession standpoint, but despite all of Bolton’s struggles, Wednesday failed to secure the easy victory expected of them.

However, three points are three points, and this is the kind of victory that proves Wednesday are a team who should be take seriously as promotion contenders.

Following the game, a trio of Wednesday’s successful side took to Twitter to react to the hard earned three points.
