Georginio Wijnaldum, Ivan Toney and more: Newcastle United's players react on Twitter after Manchester United match

Newcastle United drew 3-3 with Manchester United in Premier League action last night.

A number of members of Newcastle United’s first team squad have expressed their delight after they came from behind to claim a point against Manchester United last night.

Newcastle played out a pulsating 3-3 draw with Louis van Gaal's men at St. James’ Park yesterday, in a match which had everything.

Both teams had struggled for goals throughout the campaign so far, but their attacking class was on full display on Tyneside.

United first took the lead when Wayne Rooney tucked home a penalty, and they doubled their advantage after Jesse Lingard hit the back of the night.

At this stage, it appeared to Louis Van Gaal’s men were all set for a comfortable win, but Newcastle struck back.

The Magpies first scored through Georginio Wijnaldum, before Aleksandar Mitrovic slammed home a penalty to put them back on level terms.

United regained the lead in the 72nd minute through Rooney, but still Newcastle were not finished - and Paul Dummett fired home a screamer in the last minute to earn them a point.

Although Newcastle did not pick up a victory, there were joyous celebrations after the match - and the Magpies’ players were quick to express their happiness on social media.
