Some of these replies are really brilliant...
If there's one thing we've learned at Top Corner, it's that you REALLY don't want to miss an important goal - even if you did have to run to the loo or to get another beer.
In fact, it even happens to those who run the social media accounts of football clubs, as Ipswich Town's Twitter guy or girl proved during their 2-1 win over Leeds United at Portman Road.
Steve Evans' side took the lead in the opening minute after a goal from Souleymane Doukara but sadly for anyone following the game on Ipswich's Twitter, you won't have got much more info than who scored.
GOAL: Town behind within the first 60 seconds as Doukara finds the net. I wasn't in my seat so no idea what happened, sorry #itfc— Ipswich Town FC (@Official_ITFC) January 12, 2016
Why? Because the social media person was not in their seat at the time.
Now, it happens to the best of us but that did not stop some Tractor Boys fans from having a right good go at the account - which brought us some rather hilarious tweets in the process.
@Official_ITFC don't think the Town defence knew what was happening either— Dermot Wickham (@HertsTimelord) January 12, 2016
@Official_ITFC what's the equivalent of a Pulitzer prize for sports reporting? I think you've sewn it up with this!— Dr Edward Packard (@paxcyclist) January 12, 2016
@Official_ITFC that was the best and most honest goal description I have ever read.— Roger T (@ItsRogerT) January 12, 2016
@Official_ITFC It wasn't as if you didn't have thousands of empty ones to choose from! Poor excuse.— New York Canaries (@NYCanaries) January 12, 2016
In the end, though, it didn't really matter as Mick McCarthy's side managed to come out 2-1 winners and move within five points of second-place Derby County in the Championship AND the account saw both of their goals!
GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!!! Saw that one! Luke Chambers powers home a header and Town are level! #itfc 1-1— Ipswich Town FC (@Official_ITFC) January 12, 2016
It all worked out in the end and look how delighted big Mick is!
