Celtic boss Ronny Deila has told The Scottish Sun that whilst he knows Manchester City's Bersant Celina from Stromsgodset, he isn't willing to reveal whether a Bhoys move is on the cards.
Many expected Celtic to be active in the transfer marker this month, but so far, Deila has yet to make any new signings despite his side's underwhelming campaign.
However, reports from the Daily Record this morning suggested that Celtic have been in talks with Manchester City over a loan deal for teenage forward Bersant Celina.
Celina, 19, came up through the ranks under Celtic boss Deila at former club Stromsgodset, before the Norwegian Under-21 international joined City in 2012.
The teenager has yet to make his Premier League debut for City, but could end up in Scotland after Celtic initiated talks with Manuel Pellegrini's men this week, according to reports.
Now, Deila has been asked by The Scottish Sun whether Celina is Celtic-bound, and was playing his cards close to his chest, though did acknowledge that he has worked with him at Stromsgodset.
"I know that name comes up because I have been at the same club as him before but I won't comment," said Deila, acting coy over a possible reunion with the winger.
Celtic have a good relationship with City having loaned Jason Denayer and John Guidetti last term before snapping up Dedryck Boyata permanently over the summer.
Another deal between the two clubs could be on the cards, with Celina possibly on his way to Celtic on loan until the end of the season.
