At least he didn't make a bet to get a tattoo if they won, right?
Football fans really do send put themselves through the mill sometimes don't they?
Now, we're not talking about fans of those clubs who are lucky enough to be at the top of the league and their only problem is that they're a bit dull (yes, we're looking at you Man United fans!) Instead, we're talking about those unfortunate enough to be supporting a club embroiled in a relegation battle, like Aston Villa.
Despite getting rid of Tim Sherwood, Villa have been having an even worse season than anyone could have imagined, especially after getting to the FA Cup final last year.
Though they've lost the likes of Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph, Villa did splash the cash in the summer, bringing in the likes of Jordan Ayew, Jordan Veretout and Rudy Gestede. However, things have not gone to plan and they find themselves rock bottom of the Premier League table, four points and a game ahead of Sunderland and seven points off Newcastle United.
After winning on the first day of the season, Villa went 19 games without picking up another three points in the Premier League. And that was too much for one Villa fan who posted this back in September:
And finally after 157 days, the aptly named Aston can finally tweet and posted this in response:
That was longer than expected— Aston (@KingKozak) January 12, 2016
Having a quick look at his Twitter account, he's somehow racked up a rather astonishing 43,400 tweets since 2012...that's on average 31 every single day! So we're not entirely sure if he's happy because Villa won or the fact he can get back to tweeting more than once an hour.
