Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Harry Winks under-21 performance

Tottenham prospect Harry Winks impressed in an entertaining under-21 game against Chelsea.

England youth international Harry Winks starred for Tottenham Hotspur's under-21 side in a narrow but entertaining defeat as they took on Chelsea.

Chelsea won the game 5-4 with excellent individual displays from both teams, as well as some suspect defending.

Winks is only 19-years-old, but stood out above senior England international Andros Townsend as his team's brightest player, despite the winger scoring an 86th minute penalty and adding another to bring the game level two minutes later.

The teenager has already made his debut for the first team, and judging from his performance last night, it will not be too long before head coach Mauricio Pochettino hands him more opportunities.

Josh Onomah has recently made the step up to the senior side, and Winks is surely the next in line to follow, especially if he can replicate the performance last night on a regular basis.

Tottenham had been 4-2 down before bringing the game back to 4-4, only to concede a later winner scored by Jake Clarke-Salter. Striking prospect Shaq Coulthirst had scored Spurs' first two goals.
