Report: Queens Park Rangers are in talks with Kevin Constant

Queens Park Rangers are in discussions with free agent Kevin Constant.

According to a report on TalkSPORT, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is closing in on making his first signing as Queens Park Rangers manager.

The R’s are in talks with Kevin Constant, who is currently a free agent, after his contract at Trabzonspor expired.

Constant has represented the likes of AC Milan, Genoa and Chievo during his career to date, making him a high profile addition.

The 28-year-old has a vast experience of playing in Serie A, but he is understood to be desperate to get back playing football again.

QPR generally moved to sign younger players in the summer transfer window, but they feel that Constant has enough quality to allow them to break this policy.

The left-back would add solidarity to a backline which has looked porous throughout the campaign so far.

QPR have conceded 33 goals in their first 25 Championship matches, and Hasselbaink is keen to tighten up his backline, as he looks for his first win since being appointed at Loftus Road.
