Sunderland are planning a major clear-out in the January transfer window.
According to the Sunderland Echo, six players could leave the Stadium of Light this month as Sam Allardyce plots a clear out.
Sunderland’s start to their season has left their Premier League future in doubt, and they currently sit in 19th place in the table.
Allardyce has made no secret of his desire to bring players in during January, and the Black Cats have already been active.
Sunderland have signed Jan Kirchhoff from Bayern Munich, while they are also set to land Dame N’Doye.
Allardyce also wants two more additions, according to the Sunderland Echo, but to make room for all the new arrivals he realises that players need to be sold.
As a result, there are a number of first team stars who could be set to leave Wearside in the coming weeks.
Sunderland are actively looking to sell Buckley, Danny Graham and Jordi Gomez.
They also want to shift either Costel Pantilimon or Vito Mannone, as Allardyce feels there is no need for three senior goalkeepers to be at the club.
Sunderland will also listen to offers for Steven Fletcher, with the striker having just six months to run on his current deal.
