When asked if Rangers are going to come up, McLeish said: “Yeah, I think so. They really made their intentions clear with the game against Hibs a few weeks ago. There’s still plenty to go in the rest of the season, but I think Rangers will safely get to the [Premiership] as champions.”
The Gers currently sit atop the Scottish Championship table, with 47 points from 19 games. They are three points clear of Falkirk and Hibs in second and third, although they have a game in hand over the former, and a far greater goal difference than both sides.
More importantly, Rangers dealt a huge blow to Hibs at the end of 2015, defeating them 4-2 to assert themselves as the best team in the Championship.
There is still a long way to go before the end of this season, but Rangers have completed some impressive signings already - both for this season and in preparation for next term - and they look to be hitting top form once again.
McLeish is confident that the Gers are the best team in the division, and the former Ibrox boss has predicted that they will safely win promotion to the Premiership as champions.
