The new Liverpool centre-back has been pictured following his loan move.
Liverpool pulled off a surprise signing on Tuesday afternoon when they announced a loan deal for Queens Park Rangers centre-back Steve Caulker.
The 24-year-old had been on loan at Southampton but saw that moved terminated early, allowing him to make the temporary switch to Anfield.
Caulker becomes Liverpool’s second January arrival following the £5.1million signing of Marko Grujic earlier this month.
The youngster immediately headed back to Red Star Belgrade for the rest of the season, whereas Caulker looks set to be an integral part of Liverpool’s first-team squad straight away following the injury problems that have hit their back-line.
Caulker only played eight games for Southampton this season, racking up just 144 minutes of Premier League football in that time.
He may have wondered where his next first-team appearance was going to come but Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has now put his faith in a player who is yet to live up to his considerable potential.
The Reds soon posted a photograph of Caulker on their official Twitter account, along with the confirmation that he will wear the number 19 shirt in the months ahead.
