New York Life Insurance’s MainStay Investments has hired Credit Suisse’s John Lloyd as the company works to promote boutique asset-management options for clients.

Bloomberg News reports that Lloyd, 47, was named managing director and head of the research platform group at the institutional intermediary business, MainStay said Monday in a statement. He replaces Steve Sciortino, who is taking a role in product marketing.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Andy Lombara, head of U.S. government-bond trading at JPMorgan in New York, left the bank last week, according to a person with knowledge of the departure who requested anonymity to discuss personnel matters.

Lombara, 45, had been with the bank for about 10 years. He previously held a similar post at HSBC Securities USA.
