Palace will take on Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League.
“Villa are still looking for their first win under Remi Garde and have gone 19 PL games since they last won which was back on the opening day of the season,” Owen has written on Betvictor.com.
“The Eagles may have injuries to key players but their excellent FA Cup win at St Mary’s at the weekend showed they have strength in depth as well as ability and resilience; they should have too much for a Villa side who must win if they are to have any chance of beating the drop.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Palace to win at 31/20.”
Villa will head into the game against Palace on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers away from home in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Villans are struggling for form and for points at the moment, and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Remi Garde’s side are currently at the foot of the Premier League table with eight points from 20 matches. Villa are as many as 11 points behind 17th-placed Swansea City.
Palace will head into the game at Villa Park as favourites and on the back of a 2-1 victory over Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup.
Alan Pardew’s side have not looked great in the Premier League in recent matches, but the win against the Saints will have boosted the players’ confidence.
