Alli signed a contract extension with Tottenham today, committing his long-term future to the North London club.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who has been one of the stars of the Premier League season, has agreed terms on a new deal which takes him through to 2021.
Alli first signed a deal with Spurs last January, linking up with the club over the summer. Having broken into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team, Alli has since established himself as a key player in Spurs’ starting XI with his midfield displays of energy, drive and technical excellence.
His performances for Tottenham - with whom he has scored five goals in 26 games - have seen him shoot up through the England international set-up.
Having only made his Under-21 debut in September 2015, he then made his debut for the senior team one month later. Four games have brought a return of one goal - an excellent long-range strike against France - and an almost guaranteed place in the Three Lions squad at this summer’s European Championship.
Following the news of the deal, Spurs hero Graham Roberts took to his personal Twitter account to react to the contract extension, praising Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino for tying down arguably the best teenage talent in English football.
