Dele Alli has posted two messages on social media after it was announced he has extended his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
Alli has committed his future to Spurs until 2021, after making a hugely impressive start to life at White Hart Lane.
The young midfielder has looked the real deal ever since moving to Tottenham from Milton Keynes Dons last summer, and he was able to reflect upon his rapid rise today on social media.
Delighted to have signed a new long term deal with @SpursOfficial! Thanks to all the fans, players & staff that have helped me settle in— Dele Alli (@Dele_Alli) January 12, 2016
Alli is on course to become a huge Premier League star, and it seems that he has a very grounded mentality.
The 19-year-old’s acceleration from League One prospect to crucial Tottenham first team star would have been too much for many youngsters to cope with, but Alli has looked comfortable with every challenge thrown at him.
The attacking midfielder has already made 18 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites, and he has scored five times.
Alli’s good form had created rumours over his future, with PSG and Real Madrid linked in the London Evening Standard, but any doubt over whether he would stay at White Hart Lane seems to have been ended now.
Alli’s commitment to Tottenham was also welcomed by his Spurs teammate Harry Kane, who sent him a congratulatory message on Twitter.
