Clive Allen said on the Call Collymore show on talkSPORT on Sunday evening (January 10) that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
The former Tottenham forward also added that he does not see Leicester City claiming a Champions League place.
“I see Tottenham Hotspur finishing in the top four, Leicester just missing out,” said Allen when asked which team will finish higher: Tottenham or Leicester.
Allen made his comments following the FA Cup third-round tie between Tottenham and Leicester at White Hart Lane in North London on Sunday evening.
The game ended in a 2-2 draw, which means that there will be a replay at Leicester’s home ground, the King Power Stadium.
Leicester are above Tottenham in the Premier League table at the moment, and the two teams will face each other in the league on Wednesday evening.
The match is again at White Hart Lane, and Spurs will be favourites to pick up all three points. The North London outfit have the better team, but Leicester have shown this season that they can step up against the big boys.
It may not be possible for Claudio Ranieri’s side to pick up all three points at White Hart Lane, but they can certain earn a draw.
