Aston Villa scouts reportedly watch German goalie Lukas Raeder in action again

The big German is seemingly on the Villa radar.

It was recently reported by the Birmingham Mail that Aston Villa were interested in bringing in a former Bayern Munich owned stopper in Lukas Raeder.

They stated that Aston Villa were keen on the player who is currently at Vitoria Setubal in Portugal - after joining the club in 2014 after failing to break the first-team barrier at the Allianz Arena.

Now it has been reported that Aston Villa had scouts at Vitoria's meeting with Pacos Ferreira in the Portuguese Primeira Liga last night.

A Bola is reporting that Villa were among many clubs present at the game and Raeder will now become an obviously more attractive rumour this month.

Especially what Villa currently have in goal.

Brad Guzan has been poor this season and Mark Bunn doesn't exactly provide expert cover. Villa fans would likely happily see the back of the American for the German starlet to get a chance at Villa Park.

You would certainly notice him if he arrived. The 22-year-old German stands at 6ft 4ins and weighs around 90kg meaning he looks more like a rugby centre than a football goalie.

His agency recently helped Jan Kirchoff secure a move to the Premier League, sapping Bayern for Sunderland, and perhaps they might be doing yet another deal soon, but this time with Aston Villa.
