The Spaniard has been dismissed by Real Betis once again - here's how supporters of his former club have responded on social media.
So Real Betis have parted company with Pepe Mel for the second time. The club had lost four of their last five and currently sit 15th in the table.
Many aren't surprised but West Brom fans - generally - have reacted with a bit of sadness and plenty of sympathy.
Indeed, there were well wishes for the 52-year-old from supporters, who remember him fondly and, first and foremost, as a nice guy.
However, people weren't impressed by his actual management during his spell with the Baggies and some suggest he played very little part in West Brom actually staying up.
While Mel looks for another job, the Midlands outfit themselves look stable under Tony Pulis. They slipped down the table after a bad run recently and that could certainly happen again if they are short on goals.
But, right now, West Brom are comfortable and getting results. Here's how their fans reacted on Twitter to another Mel sacking:
Pepe Mel gone. Well. Nice bloke but utterly useless at #wba despite what some think. Played no part in us staying up that year.— Adam Hingley (@AdamHingley) January 10, 2016
Read a couple of weeks ago that Pepe Mel had already offered his resignation to Betis. A mark of the man methinks. Bravo, sir! #wba— Stig's Baggie Cousin (@StigsWBACousin) January 11, 2016
