According to Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers have concrete interest in signing Hibernian striker Jason Cummings.
Wolves have been quick to identify potential replacements for Benik Afobe, who completed a move to Bournemouth at the weekend, and Cummings is believed to be high up on Kenny Jackett’s wishlist.
Although no bid has been made as yet, Hibernian are thought to have been made aware of Wolves’ interest in their main goalscorer.
Cummings has scored 16 goals in 24 matches for Hibs so far this season, and is one of the most in-form strikers in Scotland.
At the age of 20 he is tipped to have a very bright future, and Wolves believe that they will be able to tie up a deal.
Jackett has made no secret of his desire to increase his side’s attacking threat in January as they chase a play-off spot.
If Cummings does move to Molineux he will have to compete with the likes of Adam Le Fondre and Bjorn Sigurdarson for a place up front.
