Report: Manchester City considering move for Chelsea star Eden Hazard

Etihad Stadium

The Citizens may have to see off competition from two of Europe's biggest sides if they wish to sign the Belgian.

Manchester City are reportedly considering an audacious move for Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard, according to The Sun.

However, the Citizens will have to battle two European heavyweights if they wish to sign the 25-year-old - who The Sun suggests is rated at £80m - as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are both interested in luring the Belgian away from Stamford Bridge (via The Sun).

With Hazard enduring a difficult season with the Blues - with no goals and just two assists in the Premier League - he may well be tempted to pursue a new challenge, especially considering the three clubs that are chasing his signature.

While Madrid's history and PSG's current dominance in France would make both of them very tempting options, City are arguably also likely to appeal to the winger.

A move to the Etihad would allow Hazard to remain in a league where he has been so brilliant in the past, and it will also present the opportunity to work alongside international teammates Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne on a regular basis.
