Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers has been linked with Celtic, Stoke City and Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
Celtic watched Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers again at the weekend, according to The Daily Record.
Sawyers was in action for Walsall in the FA Cup third-round tie against Brentford away from home on Saturday afternoon.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who is one of the best players in League One, started the game at Griffin Park and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Sam Mantom’s goal in the 34th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Walsall booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup courtesy of a 1-0 win.
The Daily Record reported last month that Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and Premier League duo Stoke City and Aston Villa are interested in Sawyers, who has scored three goals in 15 matches for the Saint Kitts and Nevis national team.
Walsall are third in the League One table at the moment with 48 points from 24 matches, just three points behind leaders Burton Albion.
Sean O’Driscoll’s side will take on Coventry City away from home at the Ricoh Arena in League One on Tuesday evening.
