Celtic have not made a formal bid for Ivan Mocinic, the Scottish Sun reports.
A report in Calciomercato, published yesterday, claims that the Bhoys had submitted a £2 million offer for the midfielder over the weekend.
A 22-year-old Croatian international is naturally a holding midfielder, and Ronny Deila is known to be a big fan of him.
He has scouted Mocinic throughout the season, and a formal approach is the natural next step for Celtic to make should they step up their interest in the midfielder this month.
The report claims that a bid was put forward to Rijeka from the Bhoys, but the Scottish Sun report confirms that these reports are wide of the mark, and have not made any formal approach.
There is no reference as to whether Celtic are readying a bid to submit this month for Mocinic.
This season, Mocinic has made 21 appearances for Rijeka, registering three assists. He has European experience, and made his debut for the senior Croatian national team in November 2015.
