Birmingham City, Middlesbrough and Wolverhampton Wanderers all want to hijack Bristol City's move for Bolton Wanderers forward Zach Clough.

Birmingham City, Middlesbrough and Wolverhampton Wanderers have submitted offers to Bolton Wanderers for Zach Clough, according to the Daily Mail.

Clough had looked set to be on the verge of a move to Bristol City, but it seems that the deal could be put into doubt due to the late interest.

Birmingham and Wolves are both looking to replace key players, having lost Demarai Gray and Benik Afobe respectively, and they have identified Clough as a potentially excellent addition.

Middlesbrough, meanwhile, are determined to strengthen their push for the title as they look to earn promotion to the Premier League.

Clough has emerged as one of the top youngsters in the Championship over the past year.

The 20-year-old has scored eight goals in 20 senior appearances, but Bolton are powerless to resist as the offers come in for their prized prospect.

The Trotters are in dire need of a cash injection and Clough could be the first player out of the Macron Stadium exit door in January.
