Rangers can compete with Celtic with four new signings, claims Andy Goram

Rangers are hoping to compete with Celtic next season.

Speaking to the Evening Times, Andy Goram has claimed that Rangers will be able to compete with Celtic next season with just three or four more signings, having already strengthened this summer.

Gram said: “Nobody can say that the Scottish Premiership isn’t missing Rangers being there. And I reckon if Rangers get promoted into the Premiership, with just three or four new players they will be a challenge to Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts next season.”

Rangers are already preparing for next season, and the hopeful Premiership campaign they will be enjoying.

Harry Forrester has linked up with Mark Warburton’s men, whilst he wants to bring in more players before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

On top of that, there are deals in place for Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks, who will link up with the side in the summer.

With the strength of the current Rangers squad, and the impending arrivals, it is hard to argue that Warburton’s team are not already good enough to survive in the top flight.

Competition with Celtic for the Premiership title may be too hard with this current group of players, but Goram believes three or four more signings will make the Gers a team who can realistically challenge the Bhoys for top flight success and European football.
