West Ham United gave another chance to their Arsenal loanee this weekend.
West Ham United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 in the third round of the FA Cup this weekend, but Slaven Bilic’s side had to work hard for their victory.
The Championship team held their own for much of the contest and it took an 85th-minute strike from summer signing Nikica Jelavic to give West Ham the win.
It was a wonderful effort from a player who has struggled to make much impact since arriving at the club, but on this evidence he could have turned a corner at the perfect time.
As well as Jelavic, West Ham gave chances to Darren Randolph and Carl Jenkinson, with the latter falling out of favour after a string of below-par performances.
The Arsenal loanee is now very much second-choice right-back in the league but he played the full 90 minutes against Wolves.
