Peter Crouch reacts to Tom Carroll's performance v Leicester

The former Tottenham man praised the 23-year-old for his display against Leicester.

Peter Crouch was impressed with Tom Carroll's passing and general performance as Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with Leicester City in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, according to BBC Football.

Christian Eriksen gave Tottenham the lead, before the Foxes scored either side of the break to turn the game on its head.

But a Harry Kane penalty leveled things up late on and Crouch reserved praise for young Carroll.

Crouch told the BBC at half-time: "I thought Tom Carroll did really well [for the goal] and did what he’s been doing all game, with great passing."

Meanwhile, Wolves' Jordan Graham - released by Aston Villa and now one of the form players of the Championship - also praised Carroll.

He took to Twitter in awe of the 23-year-old's FA Cup performance for Spurs.

Many Tottenham fans remain unconvinced. But Mauricio Pochettino clearly rates the young midfielder - even if just as a back-up - and he could see more and more game time this season.

The 2-2 draw with Leicester, of course, also means more game time for Tottenham as a whole. Can the north London side win their cup replay or will it be better for their Premier League and Europa League campaigns if they get knocked out?
