Nottingham Forest players react on Twitter after beating QPR, including Gardner, Lansbury

Nottingham Forest beat QPR 1-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest advanced into the fourth round of the FA Cup by beating Queens Park Rangers 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Forest went into the game having put together an eight-game unbeaten run in the Championship, winning three and drawing five matches in that run.

On Saturday, Forest recorded another victory, as a 24th minute goal from Jamie Ward sent them into the fourth round of the FA Cup at the expense of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's QPR.

Dougie Freedman will now be hoping to land a plum tie in the next round, especially with his Forest side now unbeaten in their last nine matches.

After the game, a host of players took to Twitter to react the victory, including new loan signing Gary Gardner, who re-joined the club from Aston Villa on Friday.

Gardner claimed on Twitter that he enjoyed every minute of his return to the City Ground, before wishing midfielder Henri Lansbury well and commenting on Chris Cohen's return to the starting line-up after 15 months out injured.

Striker Dexter Blackstock also celebrated Cohen's return, whilst winger Oliver Burke also reacted having won the man of the match award.

Finally, midfielder Lansbury thanked fans for their support having been taken off injured on Saturday, stating that the will know more about his injury on Monday.
