Villa played out a 1-1 draw with Wycombe at Adams Park in the third round of the FA Cup.
Micah Richards put the Villans in the lead midway through the first half, but Joe Jacobson restored parity for the League Two outfit five minutes into the second half.
Former Villa midfielder Taylor was following the game, and he was disappointed with the final result. The 47-year-old has also urged the fans not to get abusive with the players.
Following Villa’s failure to win against Wycombe, a group of supporters confronted defender Richards, as reported by The Daily Mail.
Not a great day but we're in the draw...... A lot of frustrated people today just passionate about their football club!! #VTID— Ian Taylor (@IanTaylor7) January 9, 2016
This is a time to be passionate yes but abuse has no place as far as I'm concerned. #VTID— Ian Taylor (@IanTaylor7) January 9, 2016

Villa are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just eight points from 20 matches. Remi Garde’s side are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
