Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park, hosts Everton had 74% of the possession, took 20 shots of which eight were on target, and earned 11 corners.
John Still’s visiting team had only 26% of the possession, took three shots of which none was on target, and earned one corner.
Everton will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
Roberto Martinez’s side are 11th in the league table at the moment with 27 points from 20 matches. The Merseyside outfit are nine points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
