West Brom and Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Berahino's goalscoring display

Saido Berahino

The Tottenham-linked 22-year-old netted for West Brom during a 2-2 draw in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

It's the transfer window - and there is plenty of speculation surrounding Saido Berahino's future. Nothing new there, then.

Indeed, on Saturday, the West Brom forward made headlines for the right reasons, scoring for the Midlands outfit during a 2-2 draw with Bristol City.

And that generated quite a buzz from West Brom fans. But also reacting were Tottenham Hotspur fans, with the north London club constantly linked with the 22-year-old ever since the summer.

Berahino was the subject of failed Spurs bids then and is still the subjecet of interest from the White Hart Lane outfit - although they are said to now be unsure of the purchase, as reported by the London Evening Standard.

In response to Berahino's West Brom goal, there were several talking points. Will the fact he is now cuptied knock money off his value? Or will the fact he scored and seemed to celebrate with Tony Pulis suggest the 22-year-old is ready to stay with the Baggies?

There will be plenty more talk surrounding the young forward this January and a goalscoring display, even if it was against lower league opposition, will do nothing to stop that. Here's how West Brom and Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to Berahino's FA Cup performance:
