The Bayern Munich manager has been linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer.
The Bayern Munich manager is set to leave the German giants at the end of the season, with Carlo Ancelotti already named as his replacement.
He has since revealed that he made the decision to leave Bayern, as he wants to come to England and manage in the Premier League.
That has put several clubs of alert, with many expecting him to join Manchester City, but Hoddle and McManaman both believe Arsenal would be a better fit for the former Barcelona boss.
“Financially I think they’re all much of a muchness, they’ve all got the money to spend” McManaman told Fletch and Sav.
“I think the way the teams play football, it would probably be Arsenal. The nearest team to a Barcelona or a Bayern would be Arsenal.”
“I think football wise, if he looked at all the teams and the players he’d want to work with, there’s a Spanish inclination at Arsenal,” added Hoddle.
From a footballing perspective, it is hard to deny that Arsenal would be the best fit for Guardiola.
The Gunners have often been labelled as a Barcelona light over the years, none more so than when Guardiola was winning everything with the Catalan giants.
However, Arsene Wenger looks unlikely to be leaving the Emirates at any point in future, and with Manchester City currently employing several former Barcelona executives, a move to the Etihad is increasingly likely.
