Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage has tipped Arsenal to win the FA Cup for a third season in a row, he told William Hill Sports Betting.

He said: "I'm going to go with a North London side. I think the Gunners will make it three in a row."

The Gunners ended their long wait for a trophy by beating Hull City in the FA Cup final in 2014, coming from two goals down to defeat the Tigers in extra time.

The success seemed to lift a huge amount of pressure of Arsene Wenger’s shoulders, and it arguably kick-started a new period in the club’s history which could see plenty more trophies to follow.

Another FA Cup was won in 2015, this time thrashing Aston Villa 4-0 in the final, and now a first Premier League title in over a decade is potentially on the cards as the Gunners currently top the table.

Whether the North Londoners have enough to fend off Manchester City and win the title remains to be seen, but Savage nonetheless is backing them to pick up at least one piece of silverware.

As per his short video above, the former Wales international feels Arsenal will make it an unprecedented three FA Cups in a row – matching a feat set by Blackburn in the 1800s.

Arsene Wenger’s side begin their quest for a third straight honour with a home clash with fellow Premier League side Sunderland, one of quite a few all Premier League ties.

With a number of injuries currently hindering Wenger’s selection, a mixture of first-team stars and youngsters are expected to feature for Arsenal including a potential debut for Jeff Reine-Adelaide.
