According to a report in the Mirror, Everton boss Roberto Martinez has told reporters that the club has received three loan enquiries for winger Aiden McGeady.
The former Celtic star has been on the peripherals of Everton’s squad this season, prompting plenty of speculation over his future amid reported interest this month.
And boss Roberto Martinez has told reporters after his side’s FA Cup victory over Dagenham and Redbridge that the Toffees have subsequently received three loan enquiries.
The three clubs haven’t been mentioned, yet recent reports in The Times accredits both Middlesbrough and Derby County with holding in an interest in the player as well as teammate Darren Gibson.
McGeady will be keen to leave Everton this month and earn regular first-team football elsewhere what with the European Championships on the horizon.
The Republic of Ireland international will be confident of making the 23-man squad regardless, yet entering the summer off the back of regular playing time is always beneficial.
Brighton and Hove Albion have also been linked as per the report in The Times, but the Seagulls’ recent capture of Anthony Knockaert would suggest that any deal for McGeady is now off the table.
