Barry Ferguson has written in The Daily Record that Rangers winger Barrie McKay has been terrific so far this season.
McKay has been at Rangers his entire professional career and has established himself as an important player in Mark Warburton’s side.
The 21-year-old winger has been playing pretty frequently and has impressed the Ibrox faithful.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has been impressed with McKay’s performances so far this campaign and rates him highly.
“For me, McKay is still one for the future although he has played a massive part under Mark Warburton,” the 37-year-old has written in The Daily Record.
“He has been terrific and his development is all the more remarkable as during his loan spells at Raith and Morton there were times it looked like his career was stalling.”
Rangers are going strong at the moment and are on course to winning the Scottish Championship title.
The Glasgow outfit are currently at the top of the league table with 47 points from 49 matches, three points clear of second-placed Falkirk with a game in hand.
Mark Warburton’s side will take on Cowdenbeath at Ibrox in Glasgow in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Rangers will return to Scottish Championship action next weekend when they take on Livingston at home.
