Michael Owen and Andy Gray predict Tottenham v Leicester

Tottenham Hotspur will face Leicester City at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup on Sunday evening.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Colossusbets.com that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Everton this weekend.

Spurs will face Leicester at White Hart Lane in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday evening.

“Tottenham were again outstanding for much of the game in a 1-1 draw at Everton on Sunday, and I think they will beat Leicester 2-1,” Owen has written on Colossusbets.com. “Once again, keep an eye on team selection, as both of these managers may look to give their top players a rest.

“But, at this stage, I have to fancy Tottenham to take care of a Leicester side without a goal in their last three matches, a situation not improved by the fact that Vardy is likely to be out for a couple of weeks due to minor groin surgery.”

Former Aston Villa and Everton striker Andy Gray has also backed Tottenham to win against Leicester.

“Leicester have gone off the boil slightly, and this is very tricky for them. Pochettino is the new Tinkerman, he makes a lot in the Europa League. Ranieri has nothing to focus on bar this and league games,” the former Scotland international has written on Paddypower.com. “If Tottenham put out a strong side, they’ll win.”

A footnote added: “Andy’s bet : Spurs 1-0.”

It is not easy to predict the result of an FA Cup tie, especially as both Tottenham and Leicester are likely to make changes for the game.

Spurs, though, will still be considered favourites as they are at home and have the better team.

One suspects that both the teams will be determined to win and maintain their chances of winning the FA Cup.

Tottenham will head into the tie on the back of a 1-1 draw with Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Leicester played out a goalless draw with Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium in the league last weekend.
