Gary Lineker and Michael Owen react on Twitter to Manchester United’s FA Cup progress

Manchester United won 1-0 against Sheffield United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Manchester United’s win against Sheffield United at home on Saturday evening.

United progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup courtesy of a 1-0 victory over the Blades at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney’s goal from the penalty spot in the final moments of the game proved to be the difference between the two sides at Old Trafford.

Former England international striker Lineker was following the match, and he was far from impressed with the performance of the Red Devils against League One side United.

Jason Cundy, who played for Chelsea and Tottenham among other clubs, has also taken to Twitter to have his say on the final result.

Former United striker Michael Owen has given his take on the performance of Louis van Gaal’s side as well.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Old Trafford, hosts United had as much as 71% of the possession, took 11 shots of which just two were on target, and earned five corners.

Visitors United had only 29% of the possession, took only two shots of which one was on target, and earned one corner.
