Aston Villa player ratings v Wycombe: Rudy Gestede has a shocker

Joe Jacobson's penalty cancelled out Micah Richards' opener as the Chairboys held Remi Garde's men to a 1-1 draw in their FA Cup third round clash at Adams Park.

Mark Bunn 6.5/10 – Couldn’t get anywhere near Jacobson’s 50th-minute penalty but commanded his area with much more confidence than the error-prone Brad Guzan has so far this season.

Micah Richards 6.5/10 – Finally starting at right-back, the skipper wasn’t spotless defensively but did look like an obvious upgrade over Alan Hutton going forward, opening the scoring in the 22nd-minute with a low right-footed shot.

Jores Okore 7/10 – Showed he’s Villa’s best centre-back when 100 per cent fit with a rock solid performance, albeit against League Two opposition.

Ciaran Clark 6/10 – Certainly had some shaky moments but generally dealt well with most things thrown at him.

Kieran Richardson 6/10 – Wasn’t troubled much at the back but his crossing at the other end of the pitch left a lot to be desired.

Ashley Weswood 5/10 – Gave away the penalty with a clumsy aerial challenge and failed to impose himself on either side of the ball.

Idrissa Gana 5.5/10 – Provided energy in the middle but little in the way of actual production.

Leandro Bacuna 6/10 – Had a few bright moments in the final third but flattered to deceive for the most part.

Scott Sinclair 5/10 – Largely anonymous yet again before being replaced by Ayew with 19 minutes to go. His brief goalscoring spree earlier in the season seems like an age ago now.

Carles Gil 7/10 – The only Villa starter who looked like creating anything on the day, although despite fans booing the decision to replace him with 19 minutes left, he did seem to be tiring at that stage.

Rudy Gestede 4/10 – While he didn’t get the greatest service, the towering target man didn’t help matters at all with his shocking lack of movement up top. Libor Kozak must be terrible in training if he can't get a game over him.

Jordan Veretout (Gil 71) 6.5/10 – Helped give the attack a bit more life for the closing stages with his slick passing and set-piece deliveries.

Jordan Ayew (Sinclair 71) 6.5/10 – Should have been introduced earlier given how much of a threat he looked during his limited time on the pitch.

Jordan Lyden (Richards 83) 6/10 – Showed a few good touches on his senior debut.
