Should QPR reignite interest in Kyle Ebecilio after Nottingham Forest termination?

FC Twente

The Dutchman has been released from his loan spell at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest finalised a deal for Gary Gardner today and reports have suggested that means the end of Kyle Ebecilio's stay at the City Ground.

A report from SoccerNews yesterday claimed that the midfielder will be allowed to leave Forest in order to facilitate a move for the Aston Villa midfielder.

The former Arsenal youngster arrived at Forest in August ahead of interest from several other Championship teams.

Unfortunately his time with the club has been a disappointment. The 21-year-old has played just five games for Forest and has struggled with his fitness. With Gardner arriving and Chris Cohen and Robert Tesche back to full fitness, Forest simply do not need him.

So what next?

Could QPR reignite their interest in the player?

It was reported by Voetbal Primeur in the summer that Ebecilio was wanted at Loftus Road and a deal between the club and player had been agreed.

In the end he headed to Forest but with a Dutchman now in charge at QPR in Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink perhaps he could be swayed to choose the club.

But his hamstring problem has been an issue at Forest and maybe Ebecilio is not quite what is needed in the Championship.
