Report suggests Jose Mourinho could be in line for shock return to management with Porto

The Portuguese boss was sacked by Chelsea last month.

Jose Mourinho certainly had an eventful 2015. League Cup triumph followed by Premier League glory and then complete and utter devastation this season - as he lost control of his Chelsea changing room.

He was sacked in December with the club languishing just outside the Premier League relegation zone.

So what next for 'The Special One'?

Obviously he is being linked with a plethora of top clubs throughout Europe but events today have suggested he might even return to where he first found major success.

FC Porto terminated the contract of Julen Lopetegui this afternoon, the Spaniard let go because of poor European performances and three games without a win.

Now it is rumoured that Mourinho might be asked to step in at his former club.

CNN is reporting that Mourinho might be approached for the role, with a permanent option sought in the summer.

It would seem fanciful but the former Chelsea man has fond memories of his time at Porto - where he won the league title twice, the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
