Report: Manchester United considering £65m swoop for Chelsea's Eden Hazard

Hazard has struggled for the Blues this term, so may not be against the idea of a fresh challenge.

Manchester United are considering making an audacious £65m swoop for Chelsea star Eden Hazard, the Daily Star reports.

The Belgian has endured a torrid season at Stamford Bridge, despite inspiring the Blues to the Premier League title last season - and winning numerous individual accolades along the way - so the Red Devils are clearly hoping that he may be interested in making the switch to Old Trafford in an attempt to resurrect his form.

The Star adds that United will offer Hazard a £250,000 a week contract in an attempt to lure him away, although they will also have to see off competition from European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for his signature.

With Louis van Gaal's side being criticised for a lack of attacking intent this season, signing Hazard may be the turning point that they need.

When on form, the 25-year-old is able to create moments of magic out of relatively nothing, and give defenders nightmares, and van Gaal may be hoping that he can help get the best out of Hazard, while the winger's potential arrival can help the club get back to the very top of the table.
