According to a report by Italian transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio, Fiorentina’s talented striker Khouma Babacar is very interested in a potential switch to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have been heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old this month, with recent reports insisting that Palace have made a sizable bid in order to prize him away from the Tuscan outfit.
According to a previous article published by Di Marzio, Fiorentina turned down an offer worth €11 million [roughly £8m] for their hot prospect but have lined up Southampton’s Graziano Pelle as a potential replacement.
And now fresh reports state that Babacar has caught wind of Palace’s bid, and as such is said to be very interested in what Alan Pardew’s men have to say as he seeks a move to the Premier League.
Babacar has found the net four times in five Serie A starts this season, showing great potential and a lethal streak which Palace currently lack in their attacking ranks.
The South London outfit currently occupy seventh spot in the Premier League, yet having scored just 23 goals in 20 matches there is certainly room for improvement up top.
Fiorentina’s Senegal U20 international stands at 6ft 3inch and possesses pace, strength and aerial ability as a good number of goals in his career have come via his head.
With the likes of Bakary Sako, Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie providing the service, the striker could be in for a treat at Selhurst Park though he certainly won’t come cheap.
