The Tottenham Hotspur boss has been discussing the 22-year-old.
Indeed, the Argentine has clarified his Tottenham status - he will be staying at White Hart Lane for the foreseeable future and is close to working with the first team again.
And Pochettino says Pritchard now has to increase his standards after returning to fitness so that he can compete for a place in the side.
Mauricio: "It'll be good for him to train again with the group & now he has to get to a better level so he can compete with his teammates."— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) January 8, 2016
Pochettino's words will be well received by many. Of the Spurs squad, Pritchard is probably the most discussed player outside of the first team.
Plenty of supporters want to see the 22-year-old in action following his brilliant season at Brentford last term.
Dele Alli's success, meanwhile, seems to suggest a youngster can make the step up to the Premier League if he is good enough. Hence a lot of excitement surrounding Pritchard.
There seems to be a long way to go for the Tottenham youngster and it looks like it's more to do with his fitness than anything else. It also looks like he won't be going out on loan - can he now complete the next step in his recovery?
