Marlon Harewood sends message to Rangers-bound Matt Crooks on Twitter

Rangers have agreed a pre-contract with Accrington Stanley youngster Matt Crooks.

Former Nottingham Forest and West Ham United striker Marlon Harewood has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Matt Crooks on his move to Rangers.

Crooks is on the books of Accrington Stanley at the moment and is set to join Rangers at the end of the season.

As reported by BBC Sport, the 21-year-old midfielder has signed a pre-contract with the Scottish Championship outfit.

Harewood is delighted for Crooks, and believes that the youngster, who can also play in defence and in attack, deserves the move to the Gers.

Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 47 points from 19 matches.

Mark Warburton’s side are three points clear of second-placed Falkirk and also have a game in hand.

The Gers are favourites to win the league title and gain automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Accrington are currently seventh in the League Two table with 39 points from 22 matches.
