Leeds and Rotherham fans react on Twitter as Aidy White is released

The 24-year-old was released by Leeds over the summer and has now left Rotherham to join Barnsley in League One.

Indeed, after being released by Leeds United last summer, the winger's time at Rotherham United is also now up.

The Millers have agreed to terminate the wide man's contract and it cuts his spell at the club unfortunately short, meaning he has left two clubs within the space of half a year.

However, the good news for White is that he isn't out of work - he's simply moved down to League One, where he'll play for Barnsley.

The 24-year-old has certainly had an eventful career, then, although he hasn't traveled too far out in recent months, sticking to clubs in Yorkshire.

Leeds fans were quick to react on Twitter when news broke of his release from Rotherham. There was generally sympathy from the Whites faithful, who remember the winger as a talented prospect at Elland Road:
