Trevor Sinclair reacts on Twitter to 'West Ham family' Joe Cole's move from Aston Villa to Coventry

The BBC pundit is impressed with the member of the 'West Ham family' for his decision to leave Aston Villa for more game time.

Trevor Sinclair took to Twitter after Joe Cole's move from Aston Villa to Coventry City to express how he felt about a member of the 'West Ham United family.'

And he wasn't criticising a player who has moved down two divisions.

No, Sinclair praised former West Ham midfielder Cole for his decision to join Coventry and leave Villa full-time following his loan spell at the Ricoh Arena.

The 34-year-old has made the switch for more game time, having failed to make an impact at Villa Park. While many may mock the former England prodigy, most will likely share Sinclair's view that Cole has made an admirable switch.

Cole is well remembered by the Hammers faithful and may find himself returning to West Ham in some capacity in the future.

At Aston Villa, meanwhile, the 34-year-old isn't unpopular - he just joined the Midlands outfit at the wrong time of his career.

The irony is that Cole could find himself in the same division as Villa if he stays at promotion-chasing Coventry next season. If they make it to the Championship, Cole might be returning to Villa Park!
